'An eclective system of healthcare that promotes the body's self-healing mechanism'
Naturopathic medicine blends centuries old non-toxic therapies with current advances in the study of natural health. Naturopathic medicine is based on the belief that the body has a natural ability to heal itself, given the right circumstances. Illness is said to result when the individuals 'vital force' or 'inner vitality' weakens allowing viruses, bacteria and allergens to get through the body's defences. In common with many other complementary therapists, naturopaths believe that the body, mind and spirit are inter-related. Imbalances are caused by stress, mental, emotional and spiritual problems, inadequate sleep, lack of fresh air and an accumulation of 'toxins' from today’s chemical environment. The treatment will help you to release suppressed emotions, shocks and traumas that you are holding in your system as well as treat the symptoms that you are experiencing. Your Naturopath will identify the cause of the problem and decide which treatments and remedies would be best suited to each individual case. It is effective for a wide range of physical, mental and emotional and spiritual problem and is safe for all ages.
What is Energy Medicine?
We are a mass of energy. Everything is energy. EVERYTHING
The tools that we use in Energy Medicine are positive natural energies or vibrational frequencies. This style of healing also called Vibrational Medicine, it is based on the scientific principles that all matter vibrates to a precise frequency and that by using resonant vibration, balance of matter can be restored.
Vibrational medicine is a diagnostic and healing approach to illness using energy in various forms and frequencies. As a therapy, vibrational medicine is the application of different types of energy for healing, including approaches as traditional as X-ray and radiation therapy for cancer, the use of electrical nerve stimulation for treating pain, and electromagnetic field stimulators for accelerating the healing of fractured bones. Even full spectrum light is used for treating seasonal affective disorders or the ‘winter blues’. However, vibrational medicine also covers the more subtle forms of treatment such as acupuncture, homeopathy, flower essences, crystal essences therapeutic touch, harmonics, programmed remedies and healing.
This is the more alternative range of therapies that stress treatment of the whole person, sometimes referred to as ‘complementary’ medicine.
The vibrational approach, especially the subtle energy medicine approach, works by using selective frequencies of energy for the body that encourage the body’s own self-healing systems to do the work. Vibrational medicine has the potential to scan the body not only for illness states, but also for a disposition toward illness, that is a pre-physical energetic disturbance that will lead to illness. There are a variety of diagnostic tools can be used, the system I use is dowsing for health, which goes back centuries, and other more intuitive skills to uncover the source of the dis-ease and to scan the body and it’s energy systems. If we can detect disturbances in the etheric body before physical disease develops, then we have the basis for a whole new level of preventive medicine, which we have never really seen before.
The treatment may involve homeopathic remedies, flower essences, crystal essences, programmed remedies, harmonics, chakra and karmic essences and many more, in addition to working with nutritional modification, lifestyle changes and changing negative emotional and mental states. I don’t think we should look at vibrational medicine as individual modalities targeted against specific illnesses in the same way that allopathic medicine has evolved to think of the right drug for the right bug. If we are going to be truly holistic, we have to look at the whole person and design therapies that encompass the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of illness.

Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician, laid down the guidelines for naturopathy 2,500 years ago. Health, he said, could be maintained by the correct balance of rest, exercise and plain food in moderation, and cures should be as natural as possible.
Modern Naturopathy developed with the 19th century water cures and spa towns of Germany and Austria. In the 1890s it was introduced to the US where it continues to flourish today. In some US states naturopaths are recognised as family doctors. Naturopathy is also highly regarded in Australia and in Germany there are several thousend state licensed naturopaths.
Naturopathy draws on the ancient healing wisdom of many countries, including India (Ayurveda), China (Taosim) and Greece (Hippocrates). It has now developed to include many different styles of natural medicine. Naturopaths vary greatly in the methods of diagnosis and treatment they use from the more traditional naturopath that uses detoxification and massage to the more modern naturopath who looks at all aspects of disease including the emotional and spiritual factors that may be involved.
